3rd of 3 night run in a very cool venue. these people really know how to put on a show, very efficient, friendly, not frenzied, the had clearly done this before and had it down. i'd come here again in a flash, and recommend this venue to anyone.
tonight's operaotr error: i missed the segue from happy hour hero to somp, and so it is just one long track with both tunes. such is the hazard of on-the-fly tracking. if anyone can suggest a good, free, easy to use wav editor, i would be much obliged.
finally, i just wanted to thank and say howdy to all the people i met waiting to go in, whose names escape me at this hour...the local tall guy and his buddies, including the one from st auggy...the duo from pittsburgh: the one quiet one, and the kind one who only runs from a tiger with a gun...and the usual suspects, you know who you are, and more importantly, so do we.
thanks also to derek and emory for volunteering for the hhh table, much obliged.

I don't think people realize the effort involved in doing this. Marcus spent the whole show trying to capture a good recording, while I was wandering around enjoying the show. Thanks for the effort Marcus. I'm enjoying your work!

Thank you Charlotte...
Cool venue, cool people what a great time down in Charlotte flew down friday morning and took off at 6 am sunday. Sat show one of the best that i have seen in 08' so far. It was pretty cool getting birthday wishes from Al my girlfriend passed the sound guy a note during the break as i was outside. 5 star show killer opium and TGORM and Punchline is always a good time.....Peace

great show, poor recording
Had a blast at the show. First set rocked. Loved the Captain America>SOMP>Sensory segment. HHH>Punchline was a lot of fun and the Opium>Lovitt>Plane Crash to end the set was a nice touch. Predicted a Kyle's Song encore and we got it. Overall a really fun show and a great time. I'd give the show itself 4 stars.
The recording on the other hand, not so good. Levels are still being adjusted during TGORM which make it tough to listen to. The whole on the fly tracking thing is annoying as most of the segues are missed and tracks come in late. Also, the sound is boomy, vocals are very hard to hear in parts. maybe it's just me but I've never been a fan of Schoeps recordings. I've seen and heard plenty of shows at the Neighborhood and the sound is always great. Not so much on this recording. Hopefully a better source will surface. Recording gets 2 stars
